Little Miss Muffet
Little Miss Muffet
Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet,
Eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider,
Who sat down beside her,
And frightened Miss Muffet away.
Award Winning Children's Music Lesson Series
Characters from famous nursery rhymes are recast as hip musicians that introduce your child to the world of musical instruments. Imagine the Itsy Bitsy Spider as a groovy piano player or the Three Blind Mice as a rock trio and you'll begin to get the idea. Groove Kid Nation provides a fresh new approach to introducing children to music.
Origin
“Little Miss Muffet” was first published in Songs for the Nursery in 1805. A theory that the rhyme was written by 16th-century English naturalist and physician, Thomas Muffet, is popular but unproven, as is speculation that the rhyme actually refers to Mary, Queen of Scots (1543-1587) and her fear of religious reformer, John Knox.
