Educational Kids Songs and Hip Children's Music
Groove Kid Nation is an educational children's music label whose goal is to introduce toddlers to the sound of real musical instruments.
The importance of music in early childhood development is well documented, and these award winning CDs are evolving into an educational series that track my efforts to create music education tools for my son (now age 3).
Each CD challenges and expands a kid's musical journey with fresh age-appropriate concepts.

Not only did I want to introduce my son to music, but I also wanted to leap frog over the cheesy imitations of musical instruments emanating from most toys and jump right to the real thing.
Even though I am a professional keyboard player, I still found it difficult to introduce my son to other instruments like the trumpet, saxophone, and trombone in a way that was fun for a toddler.
For that reason, I enlisted some of the best professional musicians in LA to appear on the recordings. As an example, now your toddler can hear amazing saxophone right in the middle of one of his favorite kid's songs!
No Musical Knowledge Required by the Parents
Groove Kid Nation is a focused way to bring the concert experience home, and I designed it so that even parents with no musical ability can easily present the material to their children. It's as easy as playing the CD for your kids while driving around town or dancing at home!

Imagine the Itsy Bitsy Spider as a groovy piano player (see video below) or the Three Blind Mice as a trio of guitar, bass and drums...
On the debut release The Wheels on the Bus, the instruments are introduced through familiar kids songs recast as funky soul foot-stompers -- guaranteed to not drive parents crazy with repeated listening!
On the second release Music in Motion, an entirely new band of feline characters known as the Kool Katz guide the fun. This mostly original set of funky kids songs is all about getting children to interact with the music by drawing them into the action.
Each CD includes a 10-page illustrated booklet that features the various characters from the songs playing their own instrument.
